With a focus on research and species well-being, you'll analyze the five domains crucial to animal welfare: behavioral, physical, nutritional, environmental, and mental.

Do you have…
- Bachelor's degree in business, a quantitative field, animal behavior, behavioral psychology, biology, zoology, or a related field, or equivalent experience?
- One year (1) of hands-on experience in data and research, particularly within the dynamic fields of biology or psychology research?
- One year (1) experience for executing rigorous, science-based research methods?
- Knowledge in scripting & querying (Python, R, SQL, Power BI) to streamline processes and supercharge analytical workflows?
- Two years (2) experience in presenting research findings to professional and scientific audiences.
- Experience to implement data standards & automation to extract, synthesize, and validate data from diverse sources?
A Plus…
- Master of Science degree.
- Three (3) years’ experience in biological or behavioral research.
- Experience developing or supporting custom software applications, code, and/or programs.
- Working knowledge of programming language for statistical computing and graphics such as Java, C++, JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of software programs for statistical analysis such as R Studio, R Shiny, Python or IBM SPSS Statistics.
- Knowledge of thermal cameras such as Teledyne Flir. Knowledge of survey-based programs such as Alchemer.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors under all environmental conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to transport and move items frequently up to 50 pounds for short distances without difficulty.
- Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization on foot, including any construction sites.
- Ability to consistently speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and communications.
- Ability to consistently remain on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
- Manual dexterity for standing, reaching, flexibility, and body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, stoop, bend, lift, kneel, crawl, climb, jump, dig and prolonged standing.
- Auditory ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, two-way radio, and face-to-face interactions.
- Visual and auditory acuity appropriate for safety and discern differences in documents.
- Exceptional visual acuity is required, along with the ability to communicate, comprehend and decipher/hear information accurately, using a two-way radio.
