Business Systems Support Specialist

The Business Systems Support Specialist provides technical and operational support for the organization’s business systems, databases, and software applications. This position plays a key role in ensuring that system functionality aligns with departmental workflows, data integrity is maintained, and users receive timely assistance and training. The Specialist works collaboratively with the Business Systems and Reporting Manager and other departments to enhance system performance, streamline business processes, and improve user experience across the organization.

Essential Duties: 
  • Provides quality guest service to both internal and external guests by maintaining a WILD (friendly, helpful, positive and professional) working attitude and appearance.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for business systems, including troubleshooting, data maintenance, and system monitoring.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between end users and IT for issues related to business applications, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Assist in the configuration, testing, and implementation of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and support guides to improve user proficiency and adoption.
  • Support data integrity initiatives by identifying discrepancies, performing data audits, and assisting with data cleanup projects.
  • Create, manage, and optimize SQL queries and reports to support departmental analytics and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system-related issues and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Participate in system integration projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and user acceptance.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technologies, software updates, and best practices relevant to business systems support.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service by responding promptly and professionally to support requests.
  • Serves as tier 1 first point of contact for ACNC’s ticketing POS systems, camp and program sales, fundraising, CRM, and email marketing solutions. 
  • Participates as an active member of user communities related to relevant systems and stays current while improving skills to add value to the organization.
  • Stays current on PCI requirements, and maintains all elements of the environment in compliance with those standards.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain all system related and custom hardware; including, ticket printers, scanners, PVC card printers, and receipt printers.

Requirements:
  • High School degree or GED required.  College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred. 
  • Galaxy and Salesforce systems experience preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic PC desktop and hardware support troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to provide quality guest service to both internal and external clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Capable of being highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced, high volume work environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment, and to establish and maintain excellent rapport with various individuals and groups including ACNC staff, members, donors and the general public.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
