John Ball Zoo is growing, and we’re looking for the next member of our Development team to help us further our mission! The Campaign Coordinator supports the Senior Director of Development in the execution of a multi-million-dollar capital campaign. The Campaign Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support to campaign chairpersons, board representatives, and other team members, including project management, organizing meetings and tours, and preparing donor materials. - This position’s pay range is: $21.72 – $25.55 per hour
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR AT JBZ
- The Communications Coordinator supports and coordinates all aspects of our capital campaign, including project planning and development, preparing progress reports, and creating donor solicitation packets and tour packets.
- They maintain prospect and campaign donor lists and ensure systems are in place to assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and thanking donors.
- They assist team members in seeking gifts, and act as a liaison with designers/printers for needed collateral.
- They also gather information for grant requests and reports, uploading online grant submissions as needed.
Experience Required
- QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR AT JBZ
- At least 2 years of experience in a fundraising, development, or administrative support role in the nonprofit sector preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field preferred. • Affinity for the mission and values of John Ball Zoo
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor management software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
