The Contracts & Litigation Coordinator performs a variety of tasks to support the General Counsel and other Legal, Risk & Compliance departmental staff. This position reports to the Director of Contracts Administration.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Process and track contracts and various documents for legal review through document execution.
- Track department operating and litigation budgets, including forecasting.
- Develop and implement organizational and departmental policies and procedures, generate departmental/office reports, files, and systems as required.
- Assist with pending claims and litigation matters.
- Organize, compose, and maintain specialized records and documents.
- Conduct basic legal research.
- Draft sensitive correspondence and basic legal documents.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Two years of work experience as a legal assistant or in a related field or equivalent specialized training required.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of basic legal terminology.
- Exercise tact and discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.
- Work with teams and effectively with others in a diverse environment.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Legal Tracker, PowerPlan, and Financial Edge or equivalent preferred.
