The San Francisco Zoological Society (“Society”) is a non-profit institution that manages and raises funds for San Francisco Zoo and Gardens (“Zoo”). SUMMARY:
- Directs and coordinates the activities of the Custodial and Truck departments by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Other duties may be assigned or required
- Assist in Managing EVS and Forklift One’s Duties & Performance.
- This includes Schedules, Time Sheets, Bathrooms, Path Cleaning, Sign Cleaning, Exterior Exhibit Windows Cleaning, Barricades, Events, Office Moves and Emergency Assistants.
- Assist in Managing Schedules, days off and Vacations to ensure adequate service plans, and oversees workloads assigned to individuals.
- Assist with Managing the Work Orders system and distributing work orders in a timely manner.
Assists with Payroll
- Assist with Inventory & Purchasing of EVS goods
- Manages EVS Budget
- Manages Shipping, Receiving and distribution of mail.
- Manages the Warehouse Organization, storage and cleanliness of space inside and out.
- Manages animal waste removal, forklift Maintenance and bin replacement including special pickups.
- Manages annual Fire Extinguisher recharge, Inventory and Training.
- Assist with Hazardous Waste storage, pickups, and drop offs while following all City and State Laws.
- Manages and secures alcohol storage for DEVO Events
- Manages first Aid supplies and inventory Zoo wide.
- Manages staff drinking water, inventory and dispensers.
- Manages Pest control Zoo Wide
- Performs other supervisory duties as requested or needed.
- Interacts with Zoo visitors courteously and offers proper attention at times.
- When needed assumes the role of Manager on Duty and Incident Command.

EDUCATION:
- Post high school education highly desirable.

Salary Range:
- $69,000-$72,000
