Facilities Project Manager

We are looking for a collaborative facilities project manager to join our growing team. This role will manage the development and implementation of assigned construction projects, they will be part of a team that manages all aspects of construction improvements, renovations and major repairs of all zoo structures and grounds in accordance with accepted construction practices and procedures.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN FACILITIES PROJECT MANAGER AT JBZ

Facilities Project Manager works collaboratively to manage the development and implementation of assigned construction projects. Directs projects within the Zoo’s capital program for master planning, design, construction, and infrastructure improvements. This position will administer, collaborate, manage, and supervise all aspects of construction improvements, renovations, and major repairs of all zoo structures and grounds in accordance with accepted construction practices and procedures. All while keeping communication channels clear and efficient for all JBZ departments that are affected.

Experience Required
  • 5 + years experience developing, maintaining and or managing sustainability- based initiatives, processes, or programs involving the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data.
  • Experience working with sustainability or environmental programs in higher education is preferred.Or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in sustainability, design, architecture, construction management, construction technology, landscape engineering, park management, or other relevant field.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in project management, general trades, preventative maintenance programs and asset management.
