Applications are being accepted for a full-time Life Support Systems Technician.
Responsibilities:
- The Life Support Systems Technician serves in the zoo’s Maintenance Department.
- This position is responsible for general and preventative life support system maintenance needs for the zoo, as well as other plumbing projects as needed.
- Additional duties may include understanding and testing water quality parameters as it pertains to life support systems.
Requirements:
- Aquatic Animal Life Support Operator (AALSO), Certified Pool Operator (CPO), and/or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification is required within one year of hire (certification must be maintained throughout employment).
- Three years of life support maintenance, electrical, and plumbing experience as well as previous experience with ozone generation, safety, and handling are preferred.
