The Maintenance Supervisor assists with the leadership of the facilities department in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, and overall facility appearance.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR AT JBZ
- The Maintenance Supervisor will assist as needed with assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and available personnel.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and, in collaboration with JBZ’s safety division, support employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe practices.
- Participate in risk management activities and help ensure safety standards and other regulatory standards.
- Assists in the leadership of the facilities department daily to maximize safety and promote a positive work environment.
- Supports the team by providing coaching, direct feedback, and working with the team regarding the implementation of standards and procedures.
Experience Required
- This position requires at least 3 years of experience in construction, maintenance, or equivalent. Previous leadership experience with projects, peers, or others is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction, safety, fire, and health sanitation statutes, codes, and ordinances is also highly encouraged.
