- Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens seeks a dedicated Corporate Philanthropy Officer to drive our philanthropic initiatives through Corporate Sponsorships, Corporate Memberships, and Capital Campaigns such as Rezoovenation.
- Seize exciting opportunities like naming rights for Manatee River and sponsoring signature events such as Spooktacular.
- Leverage your in-depth knowledge of our audience in this pivotal role, cultivating community and corporate partnerships, coordinating stakeholders to fulfill contracts, and securing essential donations.
- You are a subject matter expert and versatile leader to cultivate relationships, negotiate, and inspire philanthropic activity, particularly with donors providing gifts ranging from four- to six figures.
- You should have a proven track record of two years of managing relationships and building trust with various stakeholders in corporate fundraising, sales, business development, or a related field.
- Proficiency with computers Microsoft Office 360, CRM software, and Adobe programs are essential for managing donor information and enhancing engagement.
- It's second nature for you to maintain strong organizational and project management skills, the ability to engage diverse groups, and experience in designing donor-aligned giving programs.
- Adaptability, compelling marketing content creation, and a goal-oriented approach to fundraising are crucial for success in this role.

Experience Required
- Do you have… Bachelor’s degree and/or commensurate experience?
- Two (2) years’ experience executing strategies, analyzing data, and reporting on performance?
- Four (4) years’ experience corporate fundraising, sales, business development, or a related field?
- Four (4) years experience in managing donor portfolios, cultivating relationships, and soliciting gifts?
- Proficient knowledge of fundraising methodologies, techniques, and best practices, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, and events?
- Demonstrated experience with designing and implementing giving programs that align with donor interests and organizational needs?
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization on foot or by motorized cart, including any construction sites, to facilitate tours, greet visitors, and escort visitors.
- Visual and auditory acuity appropriate for safety and discerning differences in documents.
- Exceptional visual acuity is required, along with the ability to communicate, comprehend, and decipher/hear information accurately, using a two-way radio.
- Auditory ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, two-way radio, and face-to-face interactions. Ability to work outdoors and indoors under all environmental conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to transport and move items occasionally up to 20 pounds for short distances without difficulty. Visual and auditory acuity appropriate for safety and discern differences in documents.
- Exceptional visual acuity is required, along with the ability to communicate, comprehend and decipher/hear information accurately, using a two-way radio.
