Responsibilities: The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking energetic, responsible and service-oriented applicants for seasonal employment opportunities in the Candy Crossing Gift Shop. Primary job duties may include producing and/or selling fudge and related products. Additional job duties include cash handling, stocking, cleaning, bending, picking up merchandise, interacting with visitors, and other duties as assigned. The starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour but may increase based on availability and experience.
Qualifications: Candidate must be at least 18 years of age, or older and have basic math and computer skills. Previous retail experience is preferred. Prior experience in a food handling/selling field would be a plus. Candidate should have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours with breaks. Candidate must have a flexible work schedule, which will include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test.
