We are seeking a dynamic leader to serve as a Volunteer Engagement Supervisor and empower our volunteers to create meaningful change within our non-profit organization.
- In this role, you will oversee every aspect of our volunteer program, from recruiting and training to inspiring and recognizing.
- The program oversees a diverse group of volunteers, interns, and externs including ZooTeen!
- participants and group volunteers on seasonal rotations.
- You are an experienced leader with at least three years of nurturing a thriving team that feels valued and motivated.
- You have experience in a similar role to managing a team of coordinators to collaborate across the organization, ensuring our unpaid team members receive the support and training for fulfilling experiences.
- This position adapts to ever-changing needs in a fast-paced environment to foster a culture of growth, learning, and collaboration to strengthen our organization and enhance our community connections.
Do you have...
- Three (3) years of experience in Team Management experience in volunteer program management, human resource or a related field?
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar role demonstrating the ability to execute strategies, analyze data, report on performance, and successfully recruit and engage volunteers through community outreach, partnerships with schools and corporations, and online platforms?
- Two (2) years of experience, to manage large-scale group efforts with strong organizational and logistical planning capabilities?
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software?
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking systems?
- Proficient with volunteer management software and data tracking tools?
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to consistently remain on your feet for 6-8 hours on shift.
- Ability to consistently speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and communications.
- Ability to consistently remain on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
- Manual dexterity for standing, reaching, flexibility, and body movement for bending crouching, walking, kneeling, stoop, bend, lift, kneel, crawl, climb, jump, dig and prolonged standing.
- Auditory ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, two-way radio, and face-to-face interactions.
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors under all environmental conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to transport and move items up to 50 pounds occasionally, without difficulty.
- Ability to ascend/ descend ladders, steps, and uneven terrain, while maintaining body equilibrium while performing various jobs.
- Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization on foot, including any construction sites.
- Visual and auditory acuity appropriate for safety and discern differences in documents.
- Exceptional visual acuity is required, along with the ability to communicate, comprehend and decipher/hear information accurately, using a two-way radio.
