The Warehouse Worker Delivery Driver is located at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s Rancho Bernardo Warehouse. Primary duties involve loading vehicles and making deliveries and perform a variety of general warehousing and stores functions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Receives and files orders
- Organizes materials for delivery and loads delivery truck
- Delivers materials to multiple sites within the Zoo and the Safari Park
- Makes emergency or special pick-ups and deliveries
- Receives materials delivered to warehouse, checks and inspects items
- Sort and stores stock in warehouse using fork-lifts and dollies
- Keeps warehouse areas and shelves in clean and orderly condition
- Obtains items at designated locations for re-distribution or delivery
- Obtains supplies and materials from outside vendors
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A motivated team player who is outgoing and feels comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic ability to use a computer for inputting data and calling up reports.
- Must be at least 18 years of age. This position requires successful completion of physical ability test.

- Education, training and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the knowledge and skills outlined
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Current valid California Driver’s License in good standing
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Safe driving practices
- California motor vehicle law
- Proper methods of shipping and receiving

- Operate motorized equipment and vehicles
- Understand and carry out instructions
- Learn the safe operation of a folk-lift
- Make simple arithmetic calculations and keep simple records
